New Communication Technology is to be Released by Thales and ATI
Thales and ATI have paired up in research to be able create a newer communication system for communication within the aircraft and with other sources. This project has been projected to make the UK one the leading aviation industries in the world which will enhance their communication with the cabin, passengers and the cockpit operators. The initiation of the innovations of their software engineering, radio frequency technology, security, and digital and signal processing. With the production being increased due to this research it will create an approximate 145 high value jobs in the UK.
The partnership includes the building of a brand-new state of the art “engagement Suite” that is created over at ATI to encourage customer, UK industry partners, small and medium enterprise interaction. Victor Chavez Thales UK CEO is eager to begin research by stating,”
“The opening of the engagement suite and the announcement of £20m investment in innovative research represents an exciting opportunity for Thales.”
Including that he wishes that this project will create noise in the industry to attract further investments into the UK aircraft division. The suite will also assist in helping to build a better more competitive reputation for the UK civil aircraft communications and connectivity industrial base.
The Partners believe to solve an issue by providing the top of the line communication system that would be able to keep up with the production of the global commercial air traffic that is estimated to double every 15 years. Most companies are faced with being able to provide cost efficient and dependable communication services to their passengers. Throughout the continuation of this project ATI has projected to invest approximate £3.9bn for the remainder of their technologies and research by the year 2026.
