Northrop Grumman has announced that they have been awarded a contract by the US Air Force worth north of $60 million dollars. The contract is for the US Air Force’s Battlefield Airborne Communication Node (BACN) payload operations and support. The BACN is an airborne communications relay and gateway system hosted by the United States Air Force (USAF) on a variety of US Army aircraft designated as the EQ-4B which is the Global Hawk variant and the E-11A which is the Global Express modification. CAE Australia has recently been awarded a contract from the Australian Department of Defense Capability and Acquisition Sustainment Group (CASG) in order to design and develop a C-130J fuselage cargo compartment trainer which will be used by the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF). CAE, formerly known as Canadian Aviation Electronics, is a Canadian manufacturer of model and simulation technologies as well as training services for aircraft manufactures, airlines, and defense customers. British defense contracting giant BAE Systems has recently revealed that they have secured a new contract to provide Japan with modern amphibious assault vehicles. The system has begun testing on Australia’s first air warfare destroyer. Lockheed Martin, a U.S defense contractor has begun testing and the present participle of Aegis combat system on a first class destroyer called HMAS Hobart. The Lockheed Martin team brought life to the Aegis, said the head of surface ship programs Rob Miligan. The team is dedicated to making sure the delivery is successful to the Royal Australian Navy.
