Turkish Military officials recently announced that they will collaborate with Ukraine to design and manufacture new satellites. According to anonymous sources, the Ukrainian Defense Industry (Ukroboronprom) will share technology with Turkey’s state-controlled military software company Havelsan to jointly develop the satellites. Raytheon has received a $28 million modification to a contract that was previously awarded for the Qatar Air and Missile Defense Operations Center. The US Department of Defense reveals in a statement on Friday that it expects work to be completed by May 4th of 2017. In October of last year, the Qatar Air and Missile Defense Operations Center (ADOC) Program located in Hanscom, AFB had awarded the Raytheon Company with a $160 million dollar contract for the second phase of the initiative. The countries of India and Russia have recently come to an agreement for the supply of five S-400 air defense systems. The S-400 Triumf, formerly known as the S-300PMU-3, was developed by Russia’s Almaz Central Design Bureau during the 1990s and serves as an anti-aircraft weapon system which was intended to replace and modernize the S-300 family.
