The article says that the British Ministry of Defense as award Airbus with a £500 million contract in order for Airbus to deliver about 30 of its Airbus helicopters for military use. Turkish Military officials recently announced that they will collaborate with Ukraine to design and manufacture new satellites. According to anonymous sources, the Ukrainian Defense Industry (Ukroboronprom) will share technology with Turkey’s state-controlled military software company Havelsan to jointly develop the satellites. Rockwell Collins, the American multinational company which offers information technology and avionics systems and services to aircraft manufacturers and governmental agencies, has successfully completed the Production Readiness Review (PRR) for Common Range Integrated Instrumentation System (CRIIS). Raytheon has received a $28 million modification to a contract that was previously awarded for the Qatar Air and Missile Defense Operations Center. The US Department of Defense reveals in a statement on Friday that it expects work to be completed by May 4^th of 2017. In October of last year, the Qatar Air and Missile Defense Operations Center (ADOC) Program located in Hanscom, AFB had awarded the Raytheon Company with a $160 million dollar contract for the second phase of the initiative. The countries of India and Russia have recently come to an agreement for the supply of five S-400 air defense systems. The S-400 Triumf, formerly known as the S-300PMU-3, was developed by Russia’s Almaz Central Design Bureau during the 1990s and serves as an anti-aircraft weapon system which was intended to replace and modernize the S-300 family. The S-400 missile has been in service with the Russian Armed Forces since 2007. Read more >>
