At the end of April 2015, Rheinmetall Defense announced that they have been awarded a contract to upgrade the NH90 cockpit trainers of the German Army (Bundeswehr) with its simulation technology. The contract, which was awarded by the Federal Office of Bundeswehr equipment, information technology and in-service support, calls for the company to supply their simulation and business unit to upgrade all NH90 cockpit trainers to IOC+ configuration.


In the beginning of May 2015, the United States military announced that they have made great progress in its effort to develop a self-steering bullet. The system has been developed by DARPA's Extreme Accuracy Tasked Ordnance program, known as EXACTO.


General Motors Company announced at the end of April of 2015 that it is investing USD$5.4 billion over the next three years to expand and upgrade its US production facilities. The goal of this most recent investment is to put the domestic factories in a better position to handle upcoming new models that GM is expected to release in the next few years as well as securing jobs.


The United States Navy has awarded Serco a single-award indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) Price Fighters contract. This $20 million contract calls for Serco to deliver cost, price, and engineering analysis with a one-year base period, three one-year options, and a six-month option period. Serco will also continue to provide engineering-based cost analysis for the Navy, Army, Air Force, and Department of Defense.


Boeing has delivered the first modernized RTCASS-D system to the United States Navy and US Marine Corps.
