In May 2015, FWD Seagrave secured a $12m contract from the US Department of Defense to rebuild 92 Crash Fire Rescue vehicles for the US Marine Corps. Under this contract, FWD Seagrave will restore the heavy equipment P-19A model trucks to their originally manufactured condition. The Lockheed Martin-produced USS Fort Worth has finally completed its five-day preventative maintenance availability (PMAV) along with two-week long repair availability (RAV). The work was completed at the maintenance and logistics hub in Singapore and was the very first extended maintenance availability for the vessel as it journeyed on a 16-month rotational deployment to the Indo-Pacific region. These maintenance periods will allow the ship to continue its trek in theater for the bulk of its lengthy deployment which will include employing the surface warfare (SUW) mission package. The Daimler Truck company announced that it has recently earned a road license for its autonomous heavy duty 18 wheeler truck. The Freightliner Inspiration Truck took its first journey on Tuesday, carrying Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval and Daimler AG board member Wolfgang Bernhard along U.S. Highway 15 in Las Vegas.
